During the past 5 decades, an increasing percentage of the population has attained geriatric status. The care of the elderly population is very essential and needy. The changes during aging will make more susceptible for medical and psychosocial issues. The current study explores the diseases pattern in geriatrics. A prospective interventional study was carried out for a period of three and half years from JAN-2014 to JUN-2018 with one of the objective to study geriatric disease pattern (≥65 years). The information of was collected, from hospital inpatients of various departments and old age home. The final diseases diagnosis was classified using International Classifications of Diseases (ICD10). The current study results showed a total of 526 geriatric patients, ≥65 years of age were enrolled, among them 294 (55.89%) males, young older (65-74 Years) 75.29%, 51.71% literate, stay at home 50.57%, lower Class 42.21%, upper class 30.42% and upper middle class 20.91% presented with more medical problems than others. The single morbidity was more 46.58%. The most of the diseases affecting the circulatory system (I00-I99) was more 41.83% than others. The research conclude about geriatrics disease pattern with, males, young older age group, single morbidity, literate, socioeconomically lower class and affect on circulatory system is more. The geriatric diseases pattern study is useful to enact for the betterment of health care.
